Shopping At The Wye
In our October 2 meeting, the council voted to support the construction of a proposed retail complex south of Tennant Way in what’s generally referred to as the Longview Wye (although it lies with Kelso’s city limits!) This vote was basically just an expression of support, and not a formal approval or commitment of the city’s resources.
The rub lies in the construction necessary to provide access to this parcel. We’ve all known for some time that the state plans to reconstruct the SR-432 access in that area to enhance the safety of that corridor. I, for one, was under the impression all along that the reconstruction would lead to the needed access to this southern parcel. Apparently, that is not the case. Read more »
